It was awesome!

To be honest, I wasn’t so thrilled about the idea but since I don’t get to see my brother much these days since he spends the majority of his time in Northern Ontario, I thought why don’t you suck it up buttercup?
The weekend turned out to be pretty darn good. I got to know a bunch of really cool people. My favourite part was probably chatting with the folks, all from different walks of life and with different stories to share.
Actually, who am I kidding? My favourite part was learning to play the guitar (I can now play two chords!). Does it get any better than that singing while sitting around the campfire? You better warn your friends in Nashville people, I might be the next Jason Aldean! All I need now are some cowboy boots and maybe a half decent voice. And many more guitar lessons. No big deal…
We shared some laughs, some love for Roch Voisine’s “Helene”, some good wine and we even shared some love for the outdoors. Over the two days, I spent close to four hours snowshoeing around the massive property.
The good thing is that I didn’t even have to share my room (and I could use my sound machine without disturbing anyone). This place (mansion) was huge with an industrial kitchen, a spacious living/dining room and six bedrooms. I’m so glad that I went down for the weekend, it just reinforces the fact that sometimes getting out of your comfort zone yields some surprising (and pretty great) results.

I’m getting pumped for my adventure out East. I’m taking off on Thursday morning for some workshops in the Halifax area and I will even get to touch base with Blaise (therunningclinic.ca) and some of the running guru’s out there.
I love my life!
