Do you bring value?

I was just listening to another great audio CD last night driving back from a friend’s house when an interview came on about value. It got me thinking, which is not hard these days…

I find I bring value in helping people with their fitness journeys. I’ve had two people in the past week saying that I was an inspiration. That’s pretty nice to hear, it makes you warm inside!

I hope I also get people to think and question what they do in their day-to-day and why. I know that ChiRunning and BodyByVi has really helped me with that in the past few years. In my early 20’s, I thought I had it all figured out but now I realize that I have barely scratched the surface.

I did part of Rudy Lakes last weekend with some old friends and some new friends. The great thing about cycling tours is that you have a lot of time to think (and also it helps with burning calories). I think my value on the way there was as a good wind shield. And the people motivated me to keep going!

What will you do of value to yourself or others today?

I love events in small(er) towns, I find they bring great value to the community. Speaking of the such, let me tell you about the Perth Triathlon. It’s coming up quickly on Sunday, June 19. It’s a good start to Father’s Day, it’s quite affordable and it’s a great local event, just an hour away or so from Ottawa.

It’s great as an early season warm-up or a first triathlon since it’s a pool swim. I did it a few ago and it’s quite competitive as well. It has a great potluck after the race and this year it even has chip timing. So get out there and bring your value to the race!

I would totally do it but unfortunately I will be in BC that weekend teaching…
