If you’re looking for a low-key early season run around Ottawa, the Ottawa Physio Race might be for you. I received a blurb I got from one of the Race Directors so I thought I would share with you since I love to support local and cool people.
I’ve done it in the past and it’s well run with a charming local feel. This year is the 27th edition of the race and it’s happening Sunday (April 19). The event includes a 2 km (individual/family event), a 5km or 10km walk or run all along the scenic Rideau Canal in Ottawa. Chip timing will be available for all 5km and 10km events.
What I especially like is the charity portion and this year the event will help raise funds for Easter Seals Ontario, Camp Merrywood, as well as some physiotherapy programs and research. Online registration closes on Wednesday, April 15th but there will be registration will also be available at Race Kit Pick Up and on Race Day.
If you go, you might even see my ugly mug in the race kit so be warned…
You can check out their website at www.ottawaphysiorace.ca for more information. I might even see you there!
I’m doing some local workshops later this month, with Ottawa happening on Saturday April 25 and Petawawa the following day (April 26). All the info and registration are on my website.
Now you can come join the hundreds who now run with a smile thanks to my workshops!
