You can’t always get what you want…

But if you try sometime, you just might find you get what you need! Mick and the boys had it right…

It’s been a fairly busy month with the Gala and business picking up. I’ve been neglecting some other things. That has me I’m looking forward to next month so I can shift my focus to more fitness-related activities.

I’ve been needing some relaxation and a good workout after a long week and to recharge the batteries for this week. I got it.

After another great ChiRunning workshop in the Valley yesterday. So  after that and a nice dinner, I took Victoria Cleary‘s advice and I had an amazing hot yoga class in at White Pine in Pembroke. It was a great way to (almost) end the day. I love the feeling you get after a good yoga class. Tired but energized and oh so mellow!

It’s exactly what I needed as a mini-break. It’s always nice to get reminders from yoga instructors, as they are very similar to the cues I give when I teach the mindful running stuff.

Why don’t I do it more often? I ask myself that every time I leave the yoga studio. It’s like most good things, you feel so much better once it’s done but it’s not always easy to get started.
