So I started this podcast to scratch my own itch and to broadcast some of the cool conversations I was having with cool folks in the wellness sphere. It was an experiment, like most things in my life.
God behold, I really enjoyed it. And got great feedback. So why not keep going? It mixes two of my biggest loves, public relations and wellness.
Now we just finished episode #51, wow! That’s more than 26 hours of content. It wasn’t a walk in the park but it’s been a hell of a ride.
And when I say we, there is a bit of a team now. Well just me and a trusty editor. And I did outsource the theme music and the logo. We be professionals now!
So it’s been a ride, and hopefully it’s just getting started. Ironically our most downloaded/listened episode happened last month. Granted, I didn’t have metrics set up in the first half of the podcast.
Most of the episodes feature an interview with a wellness expert but I threw in some follow-up convos and some monologues, where I wax poetic about a specific topic, in there for good measure.
We’re up to almost 500 downloads/listens per month and it’s all organic growth. I guess it’s more than just my Mom and some buddies listening. It’s not Tim Ferriss or This American Life numbers but it validates the work and the idea.
Now I’m even looking to get some of this wisdom in a e-book forward, something in the format of “What I Learned in 52 Weeks of #WellnessWednesdays: Wisdom from some of Canada’s (and the world’s) wellness experts”.
Any topics we haven’t tackled yet that we should? Stay tuned for more #WellnessWednesdays, that’s all I can say!
