On the cusp of something great…

On the cusp of something great…

I’m not sure exactly what the future holds but I’m sure it will be something great.

All signs point to it. My network is growing exponentially. The opportunities are growing in quality and quantity. And I’m ready to tackle whatever comes my way. It’s the nice thing about your 30’s. Old enough to have some experience and perspective while young enough to have the energy to carry it out.

It’s weird, some of this has come from the connections I’ve gotten from doing charity work. This is not the reason I started doing it but I’ll take it I guess…

I know I’m extremely blessed with an amazing support network and a quality upbringing, but it’s not like it just fell on my lap. I have worked on my craft over the past few years. Take public speaking for example. I used to be a nervous wreck before doing any kind of presentation. But with practice, it’s really coming along.

I’m not there yet but the lifestyle is close to where I want it to be. I gave up a somewhat cushy job to do some more living by design. Travel comes and goes and most of it is paid for. I get monthly opportunities to do public speaking. I’m doing more value-added work and less work for the sake of work.

I know it’s the summer (slow for consultants like me), I just wish I was bit busier, especially with billable hours. Last time I said that though, I was working like a mad man over the fall and winter!

It’s funny, a lady recently told me I had potential last time I was in Windsor for a workshop. Now I’m really starting to believe it! ;)

And here’s a great look at the benefits of yoga for everybody. Rich Roll recently wrote an article entitled “Why every athlete should do yoga”.

Enjoy the read and the follow-up yoga session!
