I need a cold shower!

As you’re probably aware if you follow this blog, I’m a big fan of Timothy Ferriss. It all started with his first book, the 4 Hour Workweek. It really spoke to me as a business person and someone that wants to stretch his limits. A must read for all the forward thinking folks!
Now I’m onto his next masterpiece, the 4 Hour Body; An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman. He has me cutting all the “white carbs” and concentrating on legumes, meat and veggies. And doing a few other things, including taking cold showers.
It wasn’t easy to get into a cold shower this morning, especially with the weather (cold-ish and overcast) but I bit the bullet and started the water. Then I stared at it for a bit and took a big breath. Okay, maybe two. Or three. And then went in!
Consistent with the rest of life, it wasn’t that bad. Once I came to grips that I was actually choosing to take a cold shower when my hot water tank works perfectly fine, it got better. I think I might have actually enjoyed it a bit. And now I feel awake and alive (and ready for my cheat day)!
If I can become superhuman this way, I’m in. I feel great after week one and looking forward to more.
Next up, ice baths!
