Ah. Long weekends. Gotta love them!

More time to do all the things we love, running, chores, golf, family time and R&R. Okay, maybe not chores.

One thing I tried to concentrate on this weekend is to get out there. It partly had to do with the fact I had more time, the weather was favourable (when is it not?) but also because I’m determined to do Epic Dartmouth at the end of June and enjoy it!

I got out for a long run on Saturday and then hit Hylands (where I practice and teach) for some practice and a quick nice holes. Such a beauty evening, what better way to spend it then to hit some balls with some friends?

I helped my Mom with some chores around her place on Sunday and then cycled to a friend’s house in Orleans for dinner. Who knows what Monday will bring? Actually, I already know. Some golf and most likely a longer ride.

I love getting out there to do activities, whether it’s cycling, running, gardening (which almost never happens) or golf. Not only do you burn calories while working on your tan (don’t forget the SPF though), you also basically guarantee yourself an amazing night of sleep.

So get out there! Who knows what kind of trouble you can get yourself into?

I hope you’re enjoying the long weekend and the unofficial start of the summer. I hope you’re also taking some time for yourself to recharge the batteries or maybe indulge in a treat or two. But only if you’ve earned them!

Speaking of the golf , I’m c0-hosting a seminar in early June on the TPI philosophies. We will look at how an efficient golf swing is an effective one, the most common swing characteristics and the physical limitations behind them and how to improve your limitations through exercise.

Ordinary Joe Golfers, you now have the opportunity – regardless of age, current fitness level or handicap, to experience the same physical assessment and fitness training that was once only available to the touring professionals.

Your other co-host will be Dr. Carrie Johnston, a local chiropractor and a Certified Level 2 TPI Medical Professional. Click here for all the details or to register.
