Happy Thanksgiving Monday to all!

Happy Thanksgiving Monday to all my readers. I hope you can take it easy today, maybe slept in and be thankful for all that you have. I know I’ll be thankful for playing in a hockey tournament, seeing some family and friends and doing some work and a long run. Does it get better than that?

You can see last year’s Thanksgiving post up top and previous ones on my site. Being grateful never gets old and never goes out of style. And as I’m getting older, I’m even more grateful in my day-to-day.

This past year has been pretty wonderful. It’s been all of experiences, both amazing and challenging and that’s what makes us who we are, right?

Here are three things I’m especially thankful for this year:

Awareness: I’ve been trying to be a pretty enlightened cat for as long as I can remember. One of the big steps on the awareness journey was through ChiRunning. It took my physical awareness to the next level. Another spiritual one was through reading books, mostly Eckhart Tolle. Now it makes me take a step back in most situations and that’s a great thing if you ask me!

Family & friends: They are there for me through it all. They make your successes seem sweeter and your challenges seem more manageable. Taking the time to acknowledge the people in your life has made me a more well-rounded person. And aren’t people in your life for different reasons? Bingo!

Little things: I’ve been trying to appreciate the little things in life a bit more. A quick chat with a stranger, a good cup of coffee to get the day started, some fresh air, a great golf shot or a glass of wine after a long day in the office (just not for me this month).

Even if you’re not in Canada, I hope you can be thankful today. It’s good for the soul!
