Do I know too much? I wonder…

The great thing about always having your nose in books is that you get to learn quite a bit. Trust me, it can also have a few drawbacks. Now it’s hard to justify having a beer on an empty stomach (sugar levels will spike) or another treat.

They say the biggest gap isn’t between knowing and not knowing, it’s about knowing and applying that knowledge. I totally get it. I know it’s probably better to go for a run rather than having a 5Guys burger and sitting on the couch but it’s happened that I go for the latter. Why is that?

I’m still about the saying that “la modération a toujours meilleur goût” or moderation tastes better. But to be honest it’s getting harder and harder to enjoy things that I know are not optimal for me. Guilt is a mo’fo!

This is why I really try to start the day off right with a workout or some yoga and a shake full of great stuff. I’m also trying to wake up earlier these days but the weather and the fact it’s dark makes it really tough. It’s almost like they’re testing me and I fail every time I hit the snooze button.

I’m improving my day to day habits but I still have ways to go. I need to get focuses on some goals soon to reign in my procrastination and tick off some more life goals. In my fitness and in my professional life. Stay tuned!

The good thing is when I teach I try to pass on all my good habits and not my bad ones. Does that count?

I’m very excited to be heading back to the Maritimes. It’s one of my favourite spots to teach and obviously visit!

I have a few spots for my next workshop in Halifax on the afternoon of Sunday, November 3 at Kinesio Sport Lab.

I’m also doing a talk in Lunenberg the day before at GO! Studios. Looking forward to it all…
