This week on #WellnessWednesdays, we chat with Shannon Rector on the BC Bike Race and the November Project.

Shannon has been an athlete most of the life, from cycling to horseback riding. She just got back from the 7-day epic BC Bike Race. She kinda trained for the race, partly by doing some workouts put together by the November Project locally. You get to hear all about the adventures!

Shannon is active on Instagram. You can also look up the websites for the BC Bike Race and the November Project .

Any cool guests to nominate? Try me! And here’s a link to some previous ones.

Loved listening to Shannon talking about the importance of doing something that makes you uncomfortable. Reminds me of when Brene Brown writes in her book Daring Greatly, that you put yourself “in the arena.” This is what Shannon did when she jumped into the BCBR and I admire her greatly. Thanks for this interview.

  2. Julie says:

Awesome interview Shannon – Loved hear about your bike race experience, lots of enthusiasm in your voice, now I want to sign up with you next year! I think I just might so up at the november project too, very inspiring.
