I write for you. It’s true. And these five blog posts below were the most popular ones in 2013, as the stats show. And you know what they say about statistics never lying!

Some of these are a bit surprising and some are not. Enjoy if you haven’t read them yet and you can always let me know which one is your personal favourite!

In no particular order:

Trust me, weight loss is one of the reasons I picked up running (and triathlon) all those years ago. But after some research and adopting the ChiRunning philosophy, my outlook has changed. I even had a great conversation this weekend with some friends while I was in Toronto to teach a workshop about this very subject.

Yes you burn calories while you run, or do any other activity for that matter. But as humans, we overestimate the calories we burn and underestimate the calories we consume. A very bad combination!

I’ve already confessed to being a bit of a geek when it comes to running and all the information out there. Today I wanted to share some relevant articles and information and some motivation courtesy of Stoked Oats Founder Simon Donato and his new television show Boundless. If you enjoyed the trailer, you can check out all the episodes online for free (like I do).

For the most part, information is free these days. And it’s pretty accessible. There is not much you cannot learn from your laptop.

As I already mentioned in a previous post, one of my favourite places is the library. As a taxpayer, I love the value we get from it. Not only can we get books but also audio cd’s and downloadable files as well. How cool is that?

I’m all about getting healthier on a day-to-day basis. A lot of folks ask me for tips. The biggest problem is that we don’t have much time or appetite for change these days. The suggestions below are easy, subtle and don’t take much time at all. Unless you go crazy with it!

I love the diversity that running races brings out these days. Just check out our poster boy today.

I heard (I wasn’t there) that the running boom of the 70′s was mostly about fit people proving their fitness but now you see all ages and body types out there. And it’s booming!
