Thanks for reading! The evolution of a blog…

Don’t worry, I’m not quitting blogging just yet. But the blogging I have been doing has changed quite a bit over the last 6 and a half years. If you look at the last few months, it’s been mostly about the podcast and #FridayFindings.

Here’s a chance to go down memory lane… So I technically started blogging in January 2011 and one the impetus for it was Blaise Dubois’s course, New Trends in Preventing Running Injuries. I learned a lot that weekend and it provided me with so many ideas and so much content and threw me into the blogosphere.

I’ve been blogging a lot about running and exercise since then. Training, coaching, some nutrition and some tips on snowshoe running. And some race reports too. Not as many these days, unless you count these.

I’m coming up on 700 blog posts. Wow, I’m pretty impressed with the quantity. And also the quality of guests who have come on and shared their knowledge too.

I particularly enjoy my new tradition to look back every December 31 on the previous year in blogging and see what got the most interest. I’m always surprised on what people gravitate towards.

I’m still surprised people click on this blog. I just started it to answer some questions about running and provide a different perspective that I thought was lacking. And the numbers say it’s not a waste of my time, it’s not just my Mom reading my blog!

Nowadays I’m more jazzed about the minimalist lifestyle, fat burning and the podcast. But that has all stemmed from the desire to get out and share some of the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years, on that cold January weekend. So stay tuned for a few more blog posts, even if they include only links to podcasts or cool articles…

What value can I still bring to you readers? Do you miss anything I used to do?
