Knowledge is power. But not always easy…

I learn a lot by doing. And watching. And thinking. And feeling.

We all learn slightly different as I’ve learned over the years. All my experience teaching has changed the way I teach and the way I learn.

As you probably know I try to get the most out of life but it’s not always easy. Everything you do in life is part of the process and you just have to try learn from it. It’s just not always easy to figure that out in the moment.

I remember when I was in university and I hurt my back, meaning the end of my football career. It was one of the toughest periods of my life as my immediate dreams were dashed. It all worked out though as it (in a roundabout way) brought me to ChiRunning. And having the pleasure of teaching hundreds of runners from around the country.

There is so much knowledge out there, you just have to get it out. In books, in people or on the internet. That’s the cool thing about our era, most of the knowledge is out there and accessible.

To me, learning is growing. All these experiences add up to something big and grand in the end. I didn’t get an MBA but I think I’m slowly learning with all the work I’m doing. All part of the fun, right?

Do you learn your lessons well?
