Call for volunteers: Endurance running study being done in Ottawa in August!

Do you enjoy running? Do you enjoy research or being a guinea pig?

Staterra Inc., an Ottawa based Research and Development Company that focuses on fitness supplement and nutritional research. Staterra Inc. is actively recruiting volunteers for our current project we are running in collaboration with Carleton University and the NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program.

Have you successfully completed a half or full marathon and now actively training for a half marathon? We are looking for volunteers for a study that looks at metabolic changes that occurs during running.

Participants will receive personalized metabolic profile and nutritional counseling. The study takes place at the Dôme @ Louis-Riel in Orleans, on August 12th, 2017 from 9:00-15:00. You will be asked to run 18 km on a track, where small amount of blood using a lancet will be collected.

To be eligible, you must 18-45 years old, actively training for a half marathon, previously completed a half or full marathon, non-smoking and free of cardiovascular, chronic or metabolic diseases.

This research project has been cleared by Carleton University Research Ethics Board-B (CUREB-B Clearance # 106688).
